Bio:

Katherine Nunnally grew up in Trenton, NJ.
As an educator and servant leader, Katherine has dedicated her life to empowering communities of color throughout New Jersey, Guinea-Bissau, Bansang, Gambia, Mexico and St. Michele’, Haiti.

She is also the founder of God’s Promise Community Development Center, NicoleAli Group LLC
(real estate) and the Turning Point Discovery Center (Children’s Science Center) and Katherine
Nunnally’s S.T.E.A.M Academy (Haiti). Katherine is also a published author, Brick City Blues, 2001,
B.A.G. Lady Press and a faithful servant of Christ.

Katherine spent the majority of her career in Essex County as an educator, community organizer, and mentor. In 2016, Katherine returned to her hometown of Trenton, NJ to serve as the Executive Director/CEO of the Smith Family Foundation Inc.(SFFNJ). Armed with the mission to Empower the community, cultivate leaders and transform lives by providing funding and leadership development to organizations serving Trenton, NJ, she has led the Smith family’s desire to be a “Blessing” to their community while moving SFFNJ into a position to cultivate a new meaning for what Black Philanthropy looks like in the community they serve.

Katherine holds a BS (1999) Elementary Education/African American Studies and MPA (2006) from Seton Hall University. Katherine is also a certified Myers Briggs, Strong Interest Inventory, and CPI260 practitioner. She has received numerous awards and accolades.
Katherine is a loving wife and mother who resides in New Jersey-her motto is: “My life is my Worship”.
