Jodi is a master connector and social entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience leading and fundraising for for-impact (non-profit) organizations. Jodi currently serves as the CEO of the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council. After serving as Vice President of Development and Executive Director for several national non-profit organizations, Jodi co-founded a 501(c) organization, the Zzak G. Applaud Our Kids Foundation, to fully fund performing arts education for hundreds of children and teens in need.
Jodi is a sought-after keynote, motivational, and panel speaker. Through her transformational and career coaching business, Today Is The Day, Jodi provides consulting, training, coaching, and ongoing mentorship for individual clients and dozens of boutique and Fortune 500 businesses, including the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), YMCA, NJ After School Network (NJSACC), American Express NYC, and more. She is also a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Energy Leadership™ Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP).
In 2020, Jodi started the Today is the Day Changemakers podcast and YouTube channel to highlight the stories of changemakers, self-starters, and those who disrupt the status quo across the globe—including CNN Heroes, CEOs, professors, authors, celebrity band members, entrepreneurs, coaches, and more. She established the virtual Changemakers International Forum in 2022 to connect changemakers to each other and to foster new and deeper connections, business opportunities, and friendships. . Through the forum, she established a grants program to provide funding to one US-based and one international non-profit organization each year. As someone who started a non-profit with just a vision and passion to make a difference, Jodi recognized the lack of grant funding for small, emerging non-profits. Currently the Podcast has been streamed in over 730 cities around the world.
Recently, Jodi was named one of the Jersey Shore’s Most Influential in Business by the Asbury Park Press. In 2023, Jodi was honored by the NJBIA for starting the first statewide Not-for-Profit Council that helped bridge the gap between the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors in the state.
